Stoops Stats September 2013

The boys Annual Doctor visit found them both to be in perfect health. Strong, smart, silly 3 year olds.

The stats:
Noah  33 lbs. (50%) 39" tall (60%)
Parker 38 lbs. (75%) 41" tall (90%)

Noah is a silly, focused, loving little man. He has a very creative mind. Plays well by himself as well as with others. He plays pretend, likes to play costume dress up and loves hide and seek. He has started to enjoy sports. Baseball, Football and Golf. He has a good throwing arm too.

Parker is caring, smart as a whip and busy. He talks in paragraphs and asks questions about EVERYTHING. He prefers to be with others. He is a lefty but only in sports. He is passionate (even at 3) about cooking and tools.

They are sleeping 7:45pm til 7:00am most nights. They still take 1 nap for about 1-1.5hr. They enjoy their sleep. Yes, sleep sacks are still in the picture. We have told them they don't have to wear them but they ask every night for them. (even though the toes have little holes and are worn thin - we will not be buying any other Halo Sleep Sacks for these boys. We highly recommend them for infants. They were wonderful and made them feel safe)

The boys are both potty trained. They were trained in a snap. The diaper is still on at night but as of today (Sept 8) nap time diapers are no longer. Yay! High 5 boys!

Eating. THEY NEVER STOP. They eat tons of fruits and veggies. They like meat but don't eat a lot of it. Parker could be a vegetarian. Noah has a huge sweet tooth (just like mommy - sorry).

This summer they had a great opportunity. Their preschool teacher from last year was their nanny. Mrs. Karen and I created what we called "Camp Stoops".  They learned unbelievable amounts of knowledge. They also did special projects each week based on the theme. It was a very good summer for them.

Okay so with all the good there is alittle bad --- the boys have learned how to throw a good fit here and there. Only at home thank goodness. Parker way more than Noah. I have read many books cover to cover trying to learn ways to help us ALL learn how to cope with this "not so fun" phase. We have noticed the fits are less and shorter now. Thank you God. You hear our prayers. The boys are really starting to "get it". They respond better to "no", "stop" etc...we still have a ways to go but its better. We see the light.

We are blessed beyond our imagination with Noah and Parker. It is the hardest job, task, lesson, test etc...we have ever done but its so worth it when they decide to say, " I LOVE YOU!!!!" with a big hug and a kiss.

Jupiter, Florida 2013

We took the boys on their first plane trip and first time to see the big, beautiful, blue Atlantic Ocean this June 2013. We wanted to share with them a very special piece of the world called Jupiter and June Beach. It was also an extra fun treat because Grandma and Grandpa Stoops joined us!!!

We did everything from swim in the ocean, ride on surf boards & kayaks, visited the sea turtle Loggerhead Rescue Center, chased lizards, eat great seafood, walked on the pier, saw a toy factory, and learned how to live on island time.

The boys loved everything.  Parker could not get enough of play time in the BIG waves with Daddy. Noah totally embraced be a surfer. It was so much fun to watch them enjoy the beach just as much as we do! I see a future of a lot of great beach trip for our family.
