Trial Run

Things have been pretty smooth in the Twin Lane until Tuesday....

Collin and I had a nice weekend watching The Masters and eating Collin's new Fajita recipe. Congrats to "Lefty" aka Phil Mickelson and his family. Very impressive. Monday our Frisco model home got off to a great start. The CDI Team had so much put together by the end of the day. I am sure it was a grueling first day. Tuesday morning I woke to an odd feeling and as I tried to walk - waddle I could tell something had changed . Sooooo off Collin and I went to the Dr's office. Dr. U stated, "Your not IN active labor but you are dilated to a 4 now and the contractions will turn into labor soon." Luckily she sent me home with order to continue bed rest and Rx. We didn't want her to say " okay its time to admit you for hospital bed rest." I am taking Rx 2x a day now but she said eventually mother nature will take over and the Rx will be ineffective. It's total in God's hands as to when he decides its time for Noah & Parker to see the world. Its amazing to look back over our journey and think we are just days away now. Please keep our boys in your prayers.

We will keep posting blogs and photos - see you soon.

PS I think I might attempt to do one more of our pregnancy tracker photos in celebration that we have made it to 35 WEEKS! No jokes allowed - at how big the belly is now.

34 WEEKS TODAY!

We are thrilled to hit 34 weeks today!

Things are running pretty smoothly now. The prescription the DR gave me to slow/stop contractions WORKS, boys are playing and getting hiccups all day/night, and our model home install is 1 day away from completion. It's stunning. I love my CDI Design Team. They have been so great through this whole process of me working from my command post A.K.A. Bed Rest. Big Kudos to you!

And I have to throw out tons of love and appreciation to my devoted husband, he has been incredible. He has done everything for me and the boys. Grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning house, working , holding my hand at Dr appts and making sure I have everything I need by my bedside. He is a very BIG reason the boys are staying put til they are "allowed" to arrive. I love you CC. The Masters is this weekend - Enjoy!

More post tomorrow. I will include some model home photos. Thanks for checking in with us. We pray your are having an exciting day!

33 wks + 5 days DR UPDATE

We were blessed with some fantastic news today. Noah & Parker have doubled their weight in just a month. Yea!!! They are weighting in at:
Noah 4 lbs and 9 oz.
Parker 4 lbs and 15 oz.
Both at 17 " long

Noah has some hair, Parker not so much. They both have their cousin, Stevie Dee's baby cheeks. Adorable.Their stats are great. Dr is very pleased but really wants to get us to 35 + weeks.

Collin and I are just in amazement that we are getting so close to their "birth" day.
I have had some fairly regular contractions but we are taking care of that issue. Bed rest is more strict now but that is AOK - anything for the boys.
We are so excited. Please pray for at least 36 weeks!

That is all for today. Enjoy the beautiful day.

33 wks + 4 days and Easter

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. We sure did...Collin made us a tasty brunch complete with Eggs Benedict and fresh fruits. We enjoyed it outside on the deck (I laid on my side). It was so refreshing to get out of the house, hear the birds sing and see Spring has arrived. The flowers and trees are all in full bloom.

We also took a moment and got a few sweet photos. We just don't know when the boys will arrive so we thought better seize the moment. I'm so glad we did - they are priceless to us.

Collin and I next to our Family Tree. Collin planted this maple as a surprise for me a few years ago. We talked about how it would be a marker of life's special moments. Little did we know it would be the blessings of our twins boys Noah and Parker Stoops.

The sweetest kiss

On the flip side:

Today is also a big day, our model home installations begin. This is a first for me - not being able to be at the actual installation. But I understand I have 2 little babies counting on me to be a good patient and take our bed rest seriously. I have done an amazing amount of prep work in hopes that it would be an easy process for our CDI Team to install project. I have all the faith in them - they are wildly talented and fantastic at the details. I know both models will be a success. I will share a few snap shots in the next posts. The models are going to be an urban, modern townhouse and a clean lined, fresh family home.

Have a great day - post ya later!

33 wks + 2 days pregnant

Collin and I are just weeks away from the most amazing blessings in our lives. The birth of our sons, Noah and Parker Stoops. Middle names to be announced on their birth day.

It has been a long adventure getting to this amazing point. Along the way we have learned more about life, ourselves, each other and just how important becoming parents is to us.

When the boys decide to arrive - we are ready! Their ocean themed nursery is complete, bassinet is in our room, all the tiny outfits have been washed and we have read the baby owner's manuals.

Parker and Noah will give our family so much joy and at the same time we are going to spoil them with love and affection.

Check back for exciting count down postings and pregnancy photos (as I have more time these days being on bed rest). Once the boys arrive we do plan on using this blog to share photos and the adventures of "Life in the Twin Lane".

Keep the prayers coming and love to hear from you anytime.
Love,
mommy & daddy stoops
