FIREWORKS 2010

Let the Fireworks begin...Noah and Parker watched their very first firework show. The show was put on by Daddy and Grand Pa Pair. The boys and us ladies watched from a safe distance up on the house deck. The show was great however the boys fell asleep during it. They were not scared by the big booms. They are ready to go hunting Uncle Steve.

As you can see from these 2 photos the boys have grown. Parker is a bit bigger. His legs are about 2" longer. They are just the cutest!

Grandmama and Mommy with THE BOYS on the new Lakehouse boat deck. They love being outside when the Texas weather is nice.

Grandma Stoops with her grandsons hanging out on the patio. The boys love being outside.

Grandma and Gramps came to play for 5 days at the end of June. It was a super visit.

Noah and his new smile. It lights up the room. Can't you just hear the mini giggle that comes with the smile?

Parker and his adorable smile. He had a Dr. appt and it was all great news so he (and the family) were thrilled.

18.6

18.6 pounds of love

The boys just had their 2 month wellness check-up and immunization shots. They are BOTH 9 Lbs 3 oz and 21" long. Twins in that way but no other. As you can see from the photos they look very different. Parker has fair skin like mommy, a touch of the Bilbrey Irish red hair and bright blue eyes. Noah on the other hand looks just like me as a baby but has Collin's olive skin tone and a slate blue turning green eyes. As for personalities - Parker is a wildman at times, alert to surroundings, startles easy, funny, sleeps like a champ, just starting to smile and all about laying on his daddy's chest. Noah is starting to use his voice, could talk to you for hours with his eyes, solid body, loves to cuddle, studies everything and enjoys to be part of the pack.

Night time....Mommy and Noah Fisher hanging out on the well uses sofa. I now have a new thought process for my design clients that have babies and young children. Buy for comfort and durablity!

Another trip to the lake last weekend. Noah found a great spot " the recliner" to enjoy the weekend. It will be fun to take photos of him in this chair as he grows up.

The boys at 2 months old!
It's hard to believe they are 2 months. Its been interesting adjusting to our NEW life but it is a wonderful life. The sleep deprivation is the hardest. Nothing can prepare you for how lack of sleep can effect your mind, body and spirit. But the great news is - we are finally getting a tad more sleep and/or learning how to live with less.
The feeds have gone from 2 oz in mini bottle to now 5 oz. in the big bottles. They eat every 3 to 4 hours vs 2. They sleep 2 to 4 hours after they eat now. Big change. After the night time feeding they know now its bedtime and go to sleep with out many tears. Ohhh they are also out of their combo bassinet and in their OWN cribs. They do well in the same room. One of them usually would like to sleep longer than the other but who ever wakes up first to eat sets the pace that phase. The twin community has told us - its a must to feed them at the same time - otherwise you will be feeding for 12 hours a day.
Happy 2 months Noah and Parker!
WE LOVE YOU,
Mommy and Daddy

Day at the Pool with Family

Chillin Out by the Pool

Stevie Dee loving the pool!

Our first day at the Pool. Memorial Day Weekend 2010. It was a very special day. Grandma and Grandpa Stoops were in town too - so we had a big pool party. Grandma and Grandpa Hickman, Uncle Steve, Auntie Erin, cousin Stevie Dee, mommy and daddy. (even doggie Dwayne was here from AR too) Food was fantastic. Dad made his famous RIBS. Noah and Parker both loved the day at the pool.

The visit with The Stoops was alot of fun too. Lots had changed since the last time they were here in April. Here are some cute snap shots.

1st LAKEHOUSE Visit

Ahhhh...the lake!

Collin and I decided it was time to share one of our favorite places in the world with the boys.

Friday, May 21 we packed up (oh my goodness the boys have alot of stuff) our bags and headed out to our family lakehouse at Lake Fork in Emory, Texas.
The boys were amazing. They slept for the entire 90 minute drive. Once we arrived they settled in like they had been there a 100 times. In our hearts, we always wondered what it would be like to share the lake with the boys. It was a dream come true...they loved it. So did we - it was a great change of pace from our house. It made the 11pm, 2am and 6am feeding seem a bit easier. ha-ha.

On Saturday, Grandma & Grandpa Hickman arrived to joy the fun.

We decide to take the boys out on to the new boat deck and enjoy the breeze coming of the water. It was just what mommy needed too.
Dad & Collin ended up catching record numbers of Crappie right of the dock as well. Look at all those fish.

"Mommy and Daddy, when are we going back to the lakehouse?" said Parker and Noah.

It's our 1 Month Birthday

Hello Everyone,
The boys are 1 month old today. It's been an amazing month of growth, blessings and love.
Collin and I are learning all the in's and out's to becoming amazing parents. We pray.
We had no idea how much we would love these little guys.
Everyday we discover something new and wonderful about them.

EAT

They have come a very long way from the days after being born. We were feeding them out of a syringe. They are now up to 3oz. out of a Dr. Brown slow flow bottle and doing very well. They LOVE to eat. It shows because they have gained weight. Dr is very pleased at their progress.

SLEEP

We have learned sleep is more valuable then gold. Nothing could have prepared us for the "lack of sleep".
We now have a pretty good plan. "Off duty" & "On duty" rooms. The guest room which is right next to the boys nursery is the "on duty" room. After a feeding, who ever is ON sleeps in that room and handles any baby issues may occur after that feeding. If your lucky - babies sleep and you sleep. The OFF duty room is the retreat. You get 2-4 hours of solid sleep. Its priceless. Its not forever but it works for us now.
Our big bonus is when Grandma Junebug aka "night grammie" offers to stay the night and let's Collin and I sleep through the night. God bless you mom. Those nights make the rest of the week so much easier.
How do they sleep? Great. They have graduated from an hour and a half to almost four hours on a great night. They do love to be rocked and sung too before bedtime. They for the most part both sleep in the pack and play together. Parker likes to move more as he sleeps but Noah doesn't seem to mind at all.

PRAY

We are so thankful for the honor of being their parents. We prayed for so long for them. God is good! We also as individuals have learned so much in just a 30 days. The true meaning of the word patience,
how to communicate on just a a few hours of sleep and all WE all really need is to be LOVED!

Here are some great snap shots from the month:

We enjoy our froggy tummy time!

We love our "nu nu's" aka animal pacifiers.

Mr. Parker

Loves all your attention, too eat as fast as possible, either very alert or sleeping, loves to dance to Kenny Chesney songs with mommy,
tracks things with eyes, has a great golf grip and developing strong neck muscles.
Nickname: Chompers, Mr. Personality, Par Par

Mr. Noah
Always looking around - talks with his eyes, loves kisses,
pretty chilled out dude, strong grip as well (daddy's little golfers),
slow and steady eater and likes to be awake during day. Social.
Nicknames: Noah Koa, Early Bird

Time really does fly when you are having FUN in the Twin Lane!
